Building collisions are among the leading causes of bird mortality in the United States. We are proud to be the first to earn the for channel glass in 2015. At the time, six of our eight channel glass textures were certified. Today, all eight textures have earned this certification.

We are proud to announce a new line of 10mm textured EcoGlass. These precision rolled decorative glass patterns contain 40 to 50 percent recycled glass, dramatically expanding the choices of sustainable, design-forward architectural glass.

Manufactured by Glasfabrik Lamberts in Europe鈥檚 only clean-burning oxygen/fuel-fired cast glass furnace, EcoGlass contains a minimum 15 percent pre-consumer glass cullet and 25 to 35 percent post-consumer recycled glass. EcoGlass represents the highest-quality product manufactured within the strictest environmental requirements, enabling the design community to make environmentally responsible choices.

EcoGlass has excellent daylighting qualities and is available in 10 textures, offering varying degrees of privacy. The glass can be supplied in combination with custom color interlayers, color coatings, or digital printing for decorative facades, interior feature walls, partitions and backsplashes. Installation is quick and easy with our patented Z-KISS and TurnKey fastening systems.

The 10mm thick EcoGlass can be tempered, making it budget-friendly and eliminating the need for more costly lamination. The glass is also perfectly suited for both framed and frameless shower enclosures in health care, hospitality, and residential applications. Patterns range from linear to organic, providing a variety of choice when determining the level of privacy required.

As a first step forward, we have formally committed to reducing its corporate Scope 1 and 2 emissions 30% by 2030.

We are pleased to announce that our Lamberts庐 glass is the first channel glass tested and certified as bird-friendly by the American Bird Conservancy (ABC), the preeminent authority on avian-friendly architecture. The announcement highlights the rising awareness and need for sustainable bird-friendly glass in architecture. 小红帽直播鈥檚 new , the first for any channel glass, confirms our Lamberts庐 glass is visible to birds, helping them avoid collisions. It provides architects with a newly tested, safe glass choice for building facades.

Bird strike is a real and common hazard for today鈥檚 visually stunning, glass-enclosed buildings, and a potentially jarring experience for building occupants. It is estimated that up to a billion birds are killed each year in the U.S. alone, due to collisions with glass in built structures.

鈥淓veryone has seen or heard a bird hit a window, but few realize how common it is 鈥� adding up to hundreds of millions of birds each year in the U.S. alone.鈥�

The enormity of the ecological impact is enough that municipalities, including San Francisco, Oakland and Palo Alto (California), Highland Park and parts of Cook County (Illinois), Toronto (Ontario), as well as the state of Minnesota, have in recent years mandated or promoted bird-friendly architecture for new construction. Additional regulations aiming to reduce avian fatalities are being considered throughout North America.

小红帽直播 submitted our channel glass to the American Bird Conservancy for testing and Bird-Smart certification in order to assist architects designing buildings in locales requiring the use of bird-friendly glass, as well as those looking to avian-friendly architecture for its ecological and humanitarian benefits. Testing was carried out at the Pennsylvania Powdermill Nature Reserve flight tunnel facility, one of only three in the world, in conjunction with the Carnegie Museum of Natural History.
