Ten50 BBQ is a renovation of a decades-old barbecue spot that was completely transformed over 10 months into a modern and memorable dining destination. 鈥淲e tore back to the shell of the building and made essentially a new build within that shell,鈥� said Magee. 鈥淚t was a bit of a rewrite.鈥�

To add depth and reflection to the 3,200-square-foot space, Gilley and Magee turned to 小红帽直播. They sought a distinctive layered glass look that teems with texture. 鈥淲e were looking for the perfect seeded glass, something irregular that looked hand-blown mixed with a smoky mirror that wasn鈥檛 too dark,鈥� Gilley explained.

They found it by combining two 小红帽直播 samples for a custom mirrored wall of glass that anchors the rear of the dining room. The wall, 18 feet long and 5 feet high, combines 小红帽直播’s Lamberts庐 Seedy Mouth-Blown Glass laminated to VintageMirror antique mirror.

鈥淚t was such a seamless process. We sent two options to 小红帽直播 to indicate what we were hoping to combine, and they said they could make it happen,鈥� said Gilley. 鈥淲e had explored other options with local artists and glass suppliers, but the prices were astronomical, and the results didn鈥檛 match our vision. When 小红帽直播 delivered exactly what we wanted, and so quickly, it was perfect.鈥�

小红帽直播鈥檚 responsiveness made an impression, and their first sample submission was accepted and specified for the project. The result is a space that feels layered, tactile and cohesive. 鈥淓verything in the entire restaurant is custom, except for the chairs. The tables, custom glass, all the steelwork, custom concrete bars, the sign, every detail,鈥� said Gilley. 鈥淲e鈥檝e always talked about this restaurant like a jewel box where there are so many things inside of it that are custom.鈥�

The design centers around steel, copper, ceramics, white oak and the 小红帽直播 glass, which became an essential part of the selected materials. GACHOT worked alongside Elle D茅cor to reimagine the Belmont Room, originally designed by renowned decorator Billy Baldwin. Now officially renamed the Keebler J. Straz Lounge, the space has been transformed into a warm and welcoming environment that respects its historical significance while appealing to contemporary audiences. 鈥淲e wanted to get the space feeling more like a living room as it had when Billy Baldwin first designed it,鈥� said Christine Gachot, co-founder of GACHOT.

Our reflective bronze glass serves as a stunning backdrop behind the bar. This bespoke glass contributes a sense of elegance and honors Baldwin鈥檚 thoughtful design principles, creating a sense of depth and luminosity reminiscent of the Met鈥檚 gilded ceilings and rich color palette.

A vintage Rolex clock, strategically positioned on the wall of the gently reflective bronze glass, adds a layer of agelessness to the space. Its placement creates an illusion the clock is floating, bridging past and present. This interplay of old and new enriches the lounge鈥檚 atmosphere, inviting patrons to relax and socialize in style. The venerable Met Opera building opened in 1966 and is in Lincoln Center.

The design process began with our design team working closely with GACHOT to create a range of custom glass types that met the design intent. They were followed by additional detailed renderings that received approval from the designers. We provided additional details making installation quick and efficient.

鈥溞『烀敝辈� was one of our easiest collaborators and we were so pleased that they were immediate willing participants when approached for the opportunity,鈥� Gachot noted. 鈥淭he team鈥檚 professionalism and effectiveness were deeply appreciated.鈥�

Our glass was installed throughout the space. The classic hues of these reflective glass types are ideal for hospitality and commercial spaces, including lobby walls and elevator interiors. The glass is available in large sheet sizes and is extremely maintenance-friendly.

Baldwin, whose projects included decorating the White House for President John F. Kennedy and many celebrities, originally shaped the aesthetic of the Belmont Room. His blend of classic elegance and practical comfort created intimate seating arrangements that fostered conversation. Baldwin famously encouraged clients to be faithful to their own taste, a philosophy that resonates in the lounge鈥檚 refreshed design.

Gachot said her team drew inspiration from The Met lobby and auditorium in the new furnishings. 鈥淭he palette of the lounge has similar rich tones of red, gold and bronze, and warm white,鈥� she explained. 鈥淭he bar remained in its place and for the layout of furniture, we referenced Billy Baldwin鈥檚 original layout.鈥�

The transformation directed by GACHOT has created a warm and welcoming environment that respects the room鈥檚 historical significance while appealing to contemporary audiences.

The Keebler J. Straz Lounge now serves as a vibrant gathering place for Met patrons, board members and VIP guests. They seek to engage a new generation with the arts while celebrating the rich history shaping this esteemed institution. Originally constructed in 1927 and designed by architect Frank S. Parker, 200 Varick Street housed printing presses and later a graphic arts center. The building鈥檚 evolution is reflected in its recent renovation, which integrates elements of its past with a chic, modern aesthetic. The new elevator lobby design pays homage to the building鈥檚 historical roots with a sophisticated blend of black metal, terrazzo, wood tones and monochromatic finishes.

The renovation, which covers 1,500 square feet, addresses both functionality and style, incorporating our cutting-edge TurnKey glass cladding system to enhance the space. The lobby now includes a dramatic backlit portal and translucent walls that contribute to the elegant, timeless atmosphere. The easily installed TurnKey system spans nearly 1,000 square feet and seamlessly transitions from the walls to the ceiling. The stairs and walkway are clad with glass and LED backlit panels. The translucent white glass evenly distributes light without a trace of shadow lines. GFC Ornamental Glass installed the system.

Jesse Owens raced to Olympic glory nearly 90 years ago, but his inspirational performance in Berlin in 1936 remains indelibly etched in the minds of 小红帽直播 employees via a beautiful digitally printed backlit glass mural at the company鈥檚 headquarters in Wayne, N.J.

The image of Owens 鈥� 8 feet high and 15 feet wide — is the first thing people see when entering the headquarters of the architectural glass manufacturer. The wall includes four panels of digitally printed glass which combine to create the overall image. The project captures Owens as he competes en route to four gold medals at the Games. He won individual gold medals in the 100 and 200 meters and long jump. The new single terminal at Kansas City International鈥攔epresenting the largest infrastructure project in the region鈥檚 history–opened in February 2023. From the beginning of the design process, meetings with the city鈥檚 taxpayers identified a streamlined experience for travelers as a high priority, with an emphasis on comfort and dignity for all. In 2018, the Mayor and City Council of Kansas City, Mo., specifically directed lead architects at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill to create 鈥渢he most accessible airport in the world.鈥�

One reflection of this aim was the terminal鈥檚 restroom design. In addition to traditional male-only and female-only spaces, generous provision was made for gender-neutral facilities, easing travel for families with young children and cutting long wait times for female passengers. These options are coded with color as well as signage to direct travelers appropriately: blue for men, yellow for women, and green for gender-neutral rooms.

We provided the vibrant back-painted etched glass used to execute this vision, as well as the patent-pending Z-KISS concealed attachment system. With over 10,000 square feet of glass provided, Kansas City International represents our largest Z-KISS installation to date.

A fully-engineered alternative to traditional Z-clip fastening systems, Z-KISS requires fewer horizontal hanging brackets while providing reliable mechanical support for the dead load of glass. Designed to create a frameless aesthetic for opaque glass, Z-KISS can be used with a wide range of glass choices, including back-painted, mirrored, or digitally printed varieties. The glass is delivered with the hardware preinstalled, ready for installation, and accompanied by shop drawings and layout drawings provided by 小红帽直播.

In addition to back-painted glass for the restrooms, we also provided etched laminated mirrored glass from our Titanium line to frame the new terminal鈥檚 elevators in a warm cinnamon shade. While emphasizing access and inclusivity, project architects also bore in mind the terminal鈥檚 prominence as a brand new welcome center for Kansas City. With high-profile events such as the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the airport鈥檚 near future, a world-class feeling for its interior spaces was essential. With its etched surface, the delicate mirror effect of Titanium glass becomes beautifully subtle, with the gentlest of diffused reflections.

Architects for a $157 million downtown redevelopment in Central Indiana specified our problem-solving TurnKey Glass Wall Cladding system for the project鈥檚 anchor building, adding elegance to an open interior.

Designed by Browning Day of Indianapolis, a new corporate headquarters for First Internet Bank opened in the city of Fishers, Ind., in May 2022. Framing the elevators of the six-story structure, our gently etched grey mirrored glass creates a soft backdrop for some of the more dramatic features in the open central space, including the grand staircase connecting the four uppermost levels. As described by Madison Rief, Designer and Fitwel Ambassador at Browning Day: 鈥淚t was a contemporary solution that allowed us to highlight the elevators without stealing the drama from the feature stair and two-story feature wall.鈥�

The use of our TurnKey system to attach the glass cladding sped installation along. This simple rail-based concept allows glass panels to be locked into place with one-inch clips that turn like a key. Installation crews need only their basic tools, and no special training is required.

The work at First Internet Bank was completed by Architectural Glass & Metal of Indianapolis. AGM鈥檚 Marc Fickle noted that installation was up to 20-25% faster with TurnKey (versus conventional J-channel and mastic). The TurnKey system is also more forgiving than other installation methods, allowing easy adjustments to compensate for uneven walls.

Panels mounted with TurnKey can also be easily demounted in the event of a redesign, or if access to an area behind the glass is required. TurnKey hardware is available in any RAL color, allowing designers to downplay or highlight these elements as desired. The clips installed in First Internet Bank were powder coated in RAL-7043 Traffic Grey, to match the custom grey etched and laminated mirror. Browning Day鈥檚 Rief expressed satisfaction with the outcome: 鈥淚t was a perfect solution, and we just loved the look of it.鈥�

In keeping with its history as the first state-chartered, FDIC-insured institution to operate entirely online, First Internet Bank took a reflective and deliberate approach to the purpose and nature of its brick-and-mortar office space. Features designed to promote employee wellness include a private amenity terrace and ready access to the nearby Nickle Plate Trail, fostering a connection with nature. The sleek and modern design of the building鈥檚 workspaces provides flexibility for collaboration, with a nod to the industrial past in the form of exposed concrete and open ceilings.
